Alfonso Bialetti was already a pioneer in manufacturing aluminium products when in 1933 he created the original Moka Express stove top espresso maker. Almost as famous as the product is the l’Omino con i baffi (the Mustachioed Man), a pencil drawing that became the company logo and distinguishes original Bialetti products from the many imitators. The iconic aluminium product is still manufactured today along with modern versions to suit induction stoves.
