The blackwing matte black grahite pencil is the softest of the four Blackwing varieties, for anyone that prefers a dark line. Longer than most pencils at 20cm, includes a black eraser.

Blackwing pencils are famous for their ultra-smooth Japanese graphite, iconic flat square ferrule, and rich pop-culture history. Instead of the traditional cylindrical ferrule, Blackwings feature a rectangular, flat ferrule that holds an extendable, replaceable eraser. This unique shape has become a trademark of the brand.

The casing is made from genuine California and Oregon incense-cedar, which is known for sharpening smoothly, evenly, and emitting a pleasant, classic cedar scent. Blackwing leads are made from a premium blend of Japanese graphite, clay, and wax.
