Waverley Mills is the last mill of their kind in Australia, and amongst a handful worldwide, that spin, dye, weave and finish each textile on site. Locally grown premium Tasmanian wool is delivered to the mill and completed throws and blankets are delivered to loyal customers just as they have been for 150 years.

About our recycled wool:
Pure wool offcuts and ends are shredded, spun, and blended with Australian merino wool to make our recycled yarn. In our pet blankets, these threads are woven together in their natural state, letting each speckle of the recycled fibres shine. Each thread is unique, creating a beautiful, variegated blanket with a story to tell.

A bit about Microns:
The smaller the micron count, the finer the wool fibre will be. Wool typically falls in a range of 18–40 microns. These pet blankets are made with robust but soft 29-micron Merino wool, making them soft enough to cosy up with inside but durable enough for outdoor use.

Due to the nature of our products, there may be some slight variation in sizing.

Variations in colour and slub in yarns is a natural part of this recycled product.
