Classic Teddy Bear Luca 30cm

Every object has an origin. And that includes teddy bears, in fact the origins of the ubiquitous teddy is a remarkable story. Margarete Steiff founded her own toy factory in 1893, quickly established a reputation for quality and began selling to stores including Harrods. In 1902 she launched a new product, a plush bear with movable arms and legs. Steiff bears are still made today so if you want your teddy bear to be 100% original then it should be a Steiff.

All Steiff bears have the trademark "button in the ear", a mark of authenticity.

Cleaning

• Surface clean with warm water and mild detergent
• Check the label but most modern Steiff bears can also be machine washed, place it in a laundry mesh bag or pillowcase, use mild detergent on 30 degree cycle
• Do not tumble dry, leave to dry natuarally
